To further our goal of creating a league of balanced teams, players will sign up as individuals, but can request to be on the same team as two of their friends.  Every effort will be made to accommodate these requests, but we cannot guarantee that all can be fulfilled.  Staff will work to form teams that will create competitive games and allow for individual success on the field.

Benefits from participation:

• A significant portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting scholarships for Cutters players.
• There won’t be a huge discrepancy in the size and skill ability of players in any given game.
• Players will have the opportunity to be coached by different coaches within the Cutters Soccer Club.
• Games will be played in a more realistic atmosphere (e.g., no walls).
• Players will meet and play with some new Cutters members.

The league will run for seven weeks, starting on Saturday, January 21st and running through Saturday, March 3. Games will be between 11am and 2pm. The format is [5v5], with two 20-minute halves.   The first 32 players to register for each league will be accepted and thoughtfully placed into teams of 8.   The season cost is $50*.  Please register prior to January 14.  If you have any questions contact Tommy Berry or Michael Nosofsky.  We look forward to your participation.

B.U.S.S. programs are designed around age appropriate training techniques and utilize 5v5 futsal games to maximize ball contact and player engagement.  The B.U.S.S. field is uniquely designed without the indoor “walls” to reinforce and develop good soccer habits that transfer well to the outdoor game.  All B.U.S.S. coaches hold either USSF or NSCAA coaching licensing and are eager to create a fun and challenging environment for every participant.

Term 2 begins the week of January 2, 2012 and ends March 3, 2012 (9 Week Session)

Cutters at work

BUSS is proud to be the off season team training provider for the Cutters Soccer Club.  All U9-U14 teams have been provided a time to work with Cutters D.O.C. Tom Berry and his staff during the winter months to continue their individual skill and team development.  Training will focus on mastering the ball and applying the skills in small sided 5v5 futsal games.  Repetition of ball contact and decision making is maximized in this environment for player enjoyment and results. The winter BUSS training class is a 15-session program that begins the week of October 31st, 2011 and ends March 3rd, 2012 with breaks for holidays.  The tuition is $185.00 per person + the $25 yearly membership/registration.  A 10% discount will be given off the price of the training session to those who register prior to October 15th.  Registration will still be available after this date but will not include the 10% discount.  Each team must have a minimum of 10 participants to reserve their session.  Cutters’ scholarship players should contact Tom Berry directly at 812-323-2877 or email Tommy@busoccer.com.

In addition to conducting skill training and technical development at B.U.S.S., Tom is also the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Cutters Soccer Club (www.cutterssoccer.org).  In 2006 Tom was named the Indiana Youth Soccer Association’s Director of Coaching Of The Year and was again a finalist for the award in 2010.  Tom holds an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, a USSF National Youth License and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
